Our case of the month for December involves the replacement of a missing lower front tooth using a dental implant. Dental implants are the best way to restore lost teeth; modern day techniques are minimally invasive, quick and virtually pain free. In our case, a lower front tooth was lost due to trauma. As you can see from the photographs, the tooth has been replaced with a virtually identical new dental implant crown.
 

Our case of the month for November involves the replacement of a single missing tooth using a dental implant. There are many cases why teeth need to removed and in this case, the reason was due to a failing root canal treatment and infection. After the tooth was removed, healing is essential to allow the infection to resolve and the tissues to heal. The implant was placed with precision using a CBCT scan. Our case of the month for October is one involving dental implants. Dental implants are the best way to replace missing teeth whether this involves one missing tooth, several teeth or all teeth. After all, what you rather have- a removable plastic plate or a fixed tooth which is almost identical to your own tooth?

Our case is one that spans more than five years and just goes to show how dental implants can look just like natural teeth and how the gum line responds to well planned treatment. Dr Patel replaced a missing canine tooth using an Astra TX implant and over the years the site has improved and actually looks healthier now, over five years on.

The case highlights the importance of proper planning, training, attention to detail and skill when involved with implant dentistry. This is not an easy part of dentistry and takes many years to reach a certain level.

Our case of the month for September 2016 involves a single dental implant to replace a molar tooth. Molar teeth are extremely important teeth for chewing and replacing them is vital to maintain function and protect the adjacent and opposing teeth. Single dental implants are excellent at replacing missing molar teeth. The process is usually straight forward and can be described in 5 steps:
 

1. Careful planning
2. Place dental implant
3. Allow healing of 10-12 weeks
4. Take impressions
5. Fit implant crown

Our case of the month for August highlights what can be done using a Social 6 lingual brace. A lingual brace is one which sits behind the teeth, making it a truly invisible brace. Social 6 braces are placed on just 6 teeth, with the aim to correct the front 4 teeth. It is also incredibly quick- most cases take just 3-4 months. Our case of the month for July is a lovely treatment involving one of our favourite treatments- ABC. A is for alignment B is for bleaching C is for composite bonding In many cases ABC can correct and transform a smile in a few months, with no drilling, no needles, no pain and at MUCH less cost than conventional treatments. Our case of the month for June involves a smile transformation in less than 6 months. We were given a strict time frame due to an important event and we love a challenge!
