One of our favourite treatments for cosmetic teeth straightening is the Social 6 lingual brace. This brace is the truly invisible brace as it is placed on the inside of the teeth. Even though lingual braces have been around for many decades, there is little awareness of the system as the treatment in the past has been kept within the realm of specialist orthodontists and the costs have been incredibly high compared to conventional braces. Now for complex cases, lingual brace treatment is an extremely difficult and technically demanding one for dentists and patients and the costs, quite rightly, relate to this. However, for more simple cosmetic alignment, the Social 6 lingual brace is a great option for simple, quick and affordable treatment.
 

We are delighted to announce that Dr Nissit Patel was a finalist for Practice Principal of the Year for London at this years Private Dentistry Awards 2023. The Private Dentistry Awards is held every year in December to showcase the very best in private dental care throughout the UK. To be nominated as a finalist is a great achievement and testament to the dedication of all of the staff at the practice; after all it is all about the team. 

There was also cause for a double celebration with November marking 14 years as Practice Principal for Dr Nissit Patel. In 2009 the practice was barely open with a dilapidated premises, run on paper and with a poor reputation within the local community. The changes could not be more drastic with improvements made every year. We now boast a modern, fully digital practice with the latest technology including both types of dental laser, CBCT scanner, 2 intra oral scanners, surgical microscope, surgical ultrasonic and much more. Our team consists of two dentists, four dental hygiene/therapists, an endodontist, specialist Maxillofacial Surgeon, facial aesthetics medical practitioner and of course, our amazing Practice Manager and assistants. Our case of the month November 2022 involves the use of one of our favourite techniques: Philips ZOOM LED teeth whitening. Tooth whitening has been around for many years and there are lots of different systems on the market today. It is probably the most popular cosmetic dental treatment available and for good reason; everyone deserves whiter teeth! The treatment is safe, minimally invasive, easy to maintain and very affordable.
 

Our case of the month for March 2022 is a true smile transformation in every sense of the word. In this case, we successfully corrected a complete reverse overjet or underbite using Invisalign Full. We then enhanced the overall aesthetics using a home whitening kit (Philips ZOOM) and bonding.
