THE TREATMENT

The treatment involved placing a hidden lingual brace on 10 teeth. The key was the planning prior to any treatment and using a diagnostic set up. This is vital in cases like these as we are able to see a final potential end result before starting treatment. Once we are happy with the set up, treatment can commence. The treatment involved using STB lingual braces and was completed by Dr Nissit Patel in a matter of months. The benefits of treatment are, of course, straight teeth but also improved oral hygiene. The straighter the teeth, the easier they are to clean and maintain.

RETENTION

As can be seen from the photograph, the teeth are being held by a fixed wire retainer. This is vital as relapse is very common if the teeth are not retained and all the good work will be undone.
