Our case of the month for July 2018 involves teeth straightening using lingual braces. Lingual braces are placed on the inside of the teeth rather than on the outside, which makes them the only INVISIBLE brace. If you dread the thought of traditional metal train tracks or just could not commit to the regimented regime of Invisalign, this could be the technique for you. Here is our case:
In this case, we used a combination of a Social 6 lingual brace for the upper teeth and a full arch lower lingual brace. For simple cases that involve the front 4 teeth to be corrected, the Social 6 lingual brace is often ideal. The treatment is usually very quick at 3-4 months and totally invisible. Where there is a greater level of crowding, such as the lower teeth in our case, a full arch brace is required.
So, if you would like to straighten your teeth this year and did not know about lingual braces, there is an invisible solution for you.
