The Process of Cosmetic Bonding

Our case study today is on cosmetic bonding. For those of you who are unaware of the process of cosmetic bonding, here is a recap:

1. It is a completely NON-invasive treatment for chipped, fractured, spaced and uneven teeth.

2. It is additive i.e we bond to the natural tooth surface.

3. There is no need for any drilling of the underlying tooth.

4. There is no need for any needles or injections.

5. It is far more affordable than traditional treatments such as porcelain veneers.

6. It is easy to maintain.

7. It is reversible.

Just take a look at our photographs:

Spaces between front teeth

Spaces present between the front teeth

No spaces between front teeth

No more spaces! Treatment in just 60 minutes

As you can see, the cosmetic bonding is barely visible. The treatment was completed in just 60 minutes. Of course, cosmetic bonding is not a replacement for porcelain veneers and although the appearance is great, we cannot replicate the glossy shine of porcelain! We would say a matt finish instead. However, there are major advantages and we would always advise starting with bonding if at all possible.

Composite can also be used to replace old fillings on front ( or back) teeth. The great advantage of bonding includes:1. Treatment is completed in one visit; an instant smile transformation! 2. Min… CONTINUE READING

A smile is one of the first things that is evident on a person and this can radiance confidence and self-belief. The treatment for veneers is not a straightforward one and requires careful planning and execution to achieve an outstanding… CONTINUE READING

Composite Bonding On The Upper Front Teeth

Our case of the month for June 2023 involves composite cosmetic bonding on the upper front teeth. Composite bonding is a minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatment which can improve the aesthetics of a tooth or teeth. In most cases, we do not need to remove any healthy tooth structure with the composite being layered upon the tooth. With the advent of modern day dental materials, we are able to create stunning smiles with bonding in just one appointment.… CONTINUE READING
