Half Price Tooth Whitening To Celebrate The Launch Of Our Website

Tooth whitening is the most common cosmetic dental treatment, which can enhance your smile in a non-invasive way. There are generally two ways to effectively whiten teeth:

Home Teeth Whitening Kit

When using the home teeth whitening kit, impressions of your teeth are taken and our lab then fabricates vacuum formed trays which fit very closely over the teeth. Small amounts of dental bleach is then applied into the trays and these are then worn for an hour each day or overnight. Typically, 10-14 days is all that is required to achieve a whiter smile.

In Chair Bleaching

In chair bleaching is where we carefully apply higher concentrations of dental bleach onto the teeth and activate the gel with a light. Typically, this would involve multiple applications and a long session in the chair. However, newer systems mean that we can perform in chair bleaching in approximately 20 minutes. This is great for that special occasion or event when instant results are required.

At Progressive Dentistry, we will always supply a take home kit with any tooth whitening procedure. We believe that a better result can be achieved, with less sensitivity and longer lasting results with the take home kits. A combination treatment of initial in chair bleaching followed by use of the take home kit will often give the best results long term.

If you have any questions regarding tooth whitening, please contact us and we will answer any query that you may have. Our 1/2 price offer is only available for a limited time.

Social 6 lingual brace, whitening and bonding

Spring is now in full bloom and at this time of year, we are always looking at the future. This could be planning for a summer holiday, sorting out the house or even a smile transformation! Our case of the month for April was a fabulous one highlighting how a new smile really can transform your confidence and general well being. One of the most popular treatments we use to straighten front teeth is the Social 6 lingual brace. This is the only brace that can be considered truly invisible as it is placed behind the teeth and hidden from view. No more train tracks! Most treatments are only 3-4 months hence you could have a beaming smile in time for the Bank Holiday in August.

Our client was on a deadline as hew was having a lot of dental work completed elsewhere but was told he needed his front teeth straighter. Many other dental clinics said it was not possible but we bucked the trend and managed to complete the treatment on schedule with great results.

Social 6 lingual brace - straight teeth in just over 3 months

If you have read any of our case of the month articles in the past, you will know that we love the Social 6 lingual brace. We have been using this brace for over 16 years to straighten teeth in Fulham and across Europe ( yes, people do travel for this!). The major advantages are that the brace is placed on the inside of the teeth making it the only invisible brace on the market. Treatments are also super quick at usually 3-4months and certain tooth movements are made for lingual braces. Just check out our case of the month for June 2026 below and all will be explained.

You are never too old to have Invisalign treatment

It is a very common belief that one is too old for orthodontic teeth straightening treatment. Braces are associated with teenagers and track metal brackets. However, orthodontics is available to everyone and at any age. Our case of the month in July 2026 was a classic Invisalign one to correct crowding, widen the smile line and improve the bite. Our lovely patient hated her smile for decades and was not aware that Invisalign would be suitable. After careful planning and communication, we are able to transform the smile and make our patient feel fantastic!

EAO Congress Lisbon 2026

Dr Nissit Patel attended the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO) Congress from 24th-26th September in Lisbon, Portugal. This was a wonderful event, with incredible presentations from world renowned speakers, live surgery, a wonderful trade fair and educational events. There is always so much to learn in the world of dental implants and it is great to be able to connect with our European and world wide colleagues at such events.

Congratulations to the EAO for organising such a successful event and we look forward to seeing you next year in Madrid!

No drill smile makeover

Improving ones smile does not have to involve complex dental treatment , multiple visits , drilling of teeth or a high price tag. In many cases, we can use modern, minimally invasive techniques such as composite bonding to enhance a smile in one visit and is also kind to your wallet!

Invisalign Comprehensive done once and done properly

Invisalign is one of the most popular treatments in dentistry today and it has revolutionised the way orthodontic treatment is performed worldwide. Everyone knows about Invisalign and every dentist offers Invisalign. However, not all Invisalign is the same. The key is in the planning at the very beginning of treatment. For example, we can now plan treatments digitally in 3D with CBCT x rays, intra oral scans , photographs and facial scans which allows us to plan not only the tooth movement but also the roots. This is simply incredible and provides predictable results first time round. Technology is key to this and at Progressive Dentistry, we have the latest Lumina intra oral scanner, CBCT machine and facial analysis equipment all under one roof.

Closing Gaps Between The Front Teeth and Keeping Them Closed

One of the most common questions we are asked is whether gaps between the teeth can be closed and how to keep them closed. For many, spaces between the front teeth are unsightly and a cause of constant frustration This is usually because the space has opened up after past braces and despite using retainers every night. The key to keeping the spaces closed is all in the planning. The roots of the teeth must be as parallel as possible and then a fixed retainer AND night time retention is essential.

Please take a look at our case of the month for October 2026 to see how Dr Nissit Patel managed a classic spacing case and kept the gaps closed for many years.
