We also won the Best new website award. In 2011, we were shortlisted for Best Dental Practice in London under our previous name.

A recent study by the European Commission has recommended phasing out the use of dental amalgam owing to mercury's negative impact on the environment. The study also stated that some dentists are ''reluctant to change their current practice and invest in new equipment to handle mercury free fillings''. 

At Progressive Dentistry, we do NOT use any mercury containing metal fillings. Dr Nissit Patel says '' I would not want a metal filling placed in my mouth or in my children so I will certainly not consider placing them for my patients. With modern dentistry and the development of adhesive dentistry, white tooth coloured restorations can be placed predictably and safely with fantastic aesthetic results.'' Our patient wanted a more aesthetic smile after years of hiding her teeth. As the pictures demonstrate, a wonderful result was achieved which was completely non invasive and pain free.
 

Invisible braces are one the most popular cosmetic treatments available. Having straight teeth can enhance a smile dramatically which in turn will have a major cosmetic effect and improve confidence no end. Below is a case where our patient would not smile for photographs and would constantly hide the teeth. Dr Nissit Patel transformed the smile with an invisible lingual brace.
 

On some occasions, straighter teeth are required right away. This may be due to a wedding or an important social occasion. Once such case is highlighted below. The big day was within a week and straighter teeth with even edges was requested. Luckily, our Principal Dentist is experienced in the very latest cosmetic techniques to be able to transform the smile on the same day.
 

Our case of the month for July involves tooth whitening and adhesive dental bridges to replace missing teeth. Our case of the month for June involves cosmetic alignment of the front teeth with invisible lingual braces and then tooth whitening. This is a particularly favourite treatment method as it is non invasive, totally invisible and provides a fantastic result. Below are the before and after photos:
 

Our case of the month for March involves a dental implant to replace a front tooth. Dental implants are widely considered to be the best replacement for missing teeth.
