Our case of the month for September 2023 involves the use of Invisalign Comprehensive to close large spaces between the teeth and correct an open bite. With such cases it is critical to plan properly with a realistic view of the end result in mind before embarking on treatment. We spend a great deal of time planning our Invisalign cases so that aesthetic, functional and natural results can be achieved. Invisalign Comprehensive is the option that we use the most as this allows us unlimited numbers of Invisalign aligners, refinements and modifications within the overall package. We also provide the final retainers, tooth contouring and a tooth whitening pack as part of the package.
 

Our case of the month for April 2023 involves ones of our favourite treatments; Invisalign Comprehensive to widen the smile. Comprehensive treatment means just that; we can correct all sorts of orthodontic issues such as tooth crowding, rotation, uneven levels, cross bite issues and narrow arch problems. The planning is always the key to success, not all Invisalign is the same! We spend a great deal of time planning treatment which is functional, aesthetically pleasing, biologically sound and easy to maintain. Invisalign comprehensive care gives us access to all of the above and is one of the best treatment modalities on the market.
 

Invisalign is one of our favourite treatment techniques. It is a phenomenal clear aligner therapy which is head and shoulders above the rest. The technology behind the treatment is simply amazing and we can treat virtually every case with Invisalign. The days of 'this can only be treated with fixed braces' has gone! However, it is important to understand that each treatment is bespoke and planned by us carefully. We do not just simply accept the algorithm from Invisalign and we put our mark on each and every case. Not all Invisalign is the same.
 

Our case of the month for December 2022 was a wonderful one where Invisalign was used to corrected a heavily rotated tooth. In the past, we would not have been able to treat this type of tooth rotation with Invisalign and only fixed braces would have been considered. However, with the advancement of technology and digital treatment planning, we can now treat virtually any case with Invisalign. In fact, the system is now so advanced that the end results we are seeing with Invisalign is far superior to the traditional train track braces.
 

Our case of the month for August 2022 was a fabulous one! A real smile transformation done correctly. Forget 'Turkey Teeth'! A smile transformation should involve minimal or no biological damage to the teeth and gums to enhance the aesthetic and functional issues. The term 'Turkey Teeth' comes from social media posts where a smile makeover is done over a weekend by hacking away natural healthy tooth structure and placing multiple crowns and veneers. These are often linked together with no means of cleaning between them. This is a recipe for disaster with not only a high risk of nerve death and root canals but also gum disease and infection. The cost of rectifying this treatment will far outweigh the 'savings' from going abroad and also lead to life long maintenance.

Anyway, back to our case and happier news. We first started with careful planning to straighten the teeth using Invisalign full. One of the main issues was that the dental arches were very narrow which is why you cannot see the back teeth on smiling. This is called the buccal corridor. With expansion, we have the opportunity to create space and correct crowding without IPR ( in between teeth filing and slimming) which we always strive to achieve. Invisalign is simply the best at arch expansion in our opinion. After only 8 months, we had lovely straight teeth ready for the next stage.
 

Our case of the month for March 2022 is a true smile transformation in every sense of the word. In this case, we successfully corrected a complete reverse overjet or underbite using Invisalign Full. We then enhanced the overall aesthetics using a home whitening kit (Philips ZOOM) and bonding.
 

Our case of the month for October 2021 was a simple yet effective one involving three of our favourite techniques: Invisalign, tooth whitening and cosmetic bonding.

Crowding of teeth is so common, we would probably say the majority of the population suffer some form of mis alignment of some sort. Luckily, modern day treatments mean that teeth straightening is actually a simply and pain free process. In our case, we used Invisalign Lite which is the 'middle of the road' version which typically takes less than 6 months. We have access to 14 initial aligners and then 2 sets of additional sets of up to 14 each for fine tuning.

Once this was complete, tooth whitening was done at home using our favoured Zoom gel followed by some expert cosmetic bonding. All treatment was carried out by Dr Nissit Patel. Please take a look at the before and after photos. Quite a transformation!
 

Over the years, Invisalign has transformed drastically to embrace digital technology and improve their product which is by far and away the best on the market (our opinion having used all of the copycats!). There are now several Invisalign products available to dentists which brings us to Invisalign Lite. The Lite version is specifically for mild to moderate crowding with treatment time frames of around 6-8 months. Within the package, there are 14 initial aligners to correct the main crowding issues. After this first set, we have the opportunity to fine tune any crowding using refinement aligners. As of October 2021, Invisalign Lite allows 2 sets of refinements of 14 aligners within each package. This provides us with ample scope for adjustments and minor corrections.
 

Time is flying by! Kids are back in school, days are getting shorter but at least the sun is still shining. We have been so busy, that we have not posted our case of the month for August. However, the wait has been well worth it with a superb smile transformation using Invisalign clear aligners, tooth whitening and composite bonding or teeth bonding. 

Initially, our patient came to us with quite short, yellow and crowded teeth. The brief was to be as minimal as possible and try to maintain the teeth as much as possible which was music to our ears. For those of you that know anything about us will know that we are minimally invasive at heart and hate to destroy natural tooth for cosmetic reasons.
