Breaking news! We are finalists at the Probe Dental Awards for Practice of the Year South 2017. The Dental Awards are the original and most respected awards programme in UK dentistry. For the past 17 years The Dental Awards have recognised the outstanding individuals and teams whose commitment and drive continues to raise standards throughout UK dentistry.

We appreciate that we all have very busy lives and we rely on public transport to run to schedule. However, recently many of you have been arriving late for appointments. Turning up late can disrupt the entire morning or afternoon. It is unfair to the patient booked directly after you and any subsequent patient. This is the sole reason why we run late for appointments and is incredibly unfair to all concerned. Please check the transport updates prior to making your journey and aim to arrive to us at least ten minutes before your appointment. Thank you in advance.

We are delighted that we have received another award. This award comes from Zesty, the online appointment booking site- Best Practice in London. Following on from our award at the Dentistry Awards- Best Dentist in London- this is pleasant surprise but very welcome! Thank you to Zesty for the kind words. We strive for dental excellence and aim to continually improve- no let up here!

We are delighted to announce that we have reached the finals at the Dentistry Awards 2013. There are 2 categories that we have been shortlisted for:

- Best Practice in London
- Best Team in London

These two categories are the most prestigious at the awards and the eventual winner will compete for the UK title. We are honoured ago have made the final once again, following on from last year. The nominations go some way to justify our approach to dentistry- minimally invasive, prevention orientated and a dedication to continual improvement. The awards ceremony takes place on the 6th December 2013 at the Athena in Leicester. We will keep you informed.

After recent changes to the rules, direct access to the dental hygienist is now possible. What does this mean? Well, the main differences are:

1. There is no need to be referred by a dentist to see the hygienist.

2. You can simply call the practice, even as a new patient, to book an appointment with our hygienist.

3. Follow up dental hygiene visits can be booked directly without a dental examination.

It is still essential, in our opinion, to see the dentist at least once a year for your dental examinations and risk assessments. Working together as a team, will reduce your risk of developing dental disease. After all, prevention is better than cure! To book with our hygienist directly call us on 0207 7311162 or e mail us on info@progressivedentistry.co.uk.

Appointments are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and selected Saturdays.

We are very pleased to announce that our website has been shortlisted for the best new website award by Dentistry magazine. The site has taken a great deal of hard work and time, thus we are delighted with this nomination.

This also means that we have been shortlisted for two awards this year, the other being Best Young Dentist in London for Dr Nissit Patel. We believe our site is unique in the content and description of treatment and we are proud that all of the case photographs were taken by and treated by our Principal dentist, Dr Nissit Patel.

We aim to improve our site in 2011 with further links in the Patient area and the addition of new and exciting treatments, so watch this space!

We are very proud of our reputation as one of London's leading progressive dental clinics. Please view the testimonial section to view some of the kind words that our patients have to say about us. Some of our patients have followed Dr Nissit Patel all over London and the UK. We really appreciate the word of mouth referrals and as a thank you we run a referral scheme, so that if you refer a friend, family member or colleague we reward you and your friend with a gift. The more referrals you make the greater the reward! This includes stunning sterling silver jewellery from JOCALE, exclusive to Progressive Dentistry.
